About Ryan Hill
One of New York’s most sought-after specialists for events of all kinds—from star-studded premieres to lavish weddings, from strategic product launches to elegant galas, and from the wildest after-parties to the most intimate personal celebrations—Apotheosis Founder and CEO Ryan Hill first cut his teeth in 2003 as Associate Producer to two of Broadway’s most successful theater makers, Jeffrey Seller and Kevin McCollum. Over the course of that tenure, Ryan was responsible for putting together some of the buzziest New York events of that decade, including the now legendary closing night party for Rent.
After leaving theatrical producing, Ryan went on to become one of the entertainment industry’s most in-demand event planning consultants. He formed Apotheosis in 2015 and soon earned a reputation that put him in the top ranks of New York’s elite planners.
Ryan solidified Apotheosis’s standing with its opening night bash for Broadway juggernaut Hamilton. The fête, which roared to life with a 15-minute firework spectacular over the Hudson River, earned Apotheosis international headlines (and those who were lucky enough to have scored an invitation to the affair earned endless bragging rights).
Since founding Apotheosis, Ryan has been a trusted partner in the creation of splashy events for a wide range of treasured clients from various sectors, including the American Ballet Theater, Reynolda House Museum of American Art, and Yamba Malawi (nonprofit); Brookfield Properties, Hawaiian Airlines, John Hardy, and Samsung (corporate); and the FX Network, Hamilton, and the Rolling Stones (entertainment). Apotheosis produced the U.S. premiere of the highly anticipated Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the world premiere of Fosse/Verdon for FX, and has planned celebrations for A-list entertainers, Fortune 500 CEOs, and many, many beaming brides and glowing grooms.
How we do what we do
WE CONTRIBUTE
We desire to be a part of something larger than ourselves. We want to make a difference in the lives of others, in an organization, or for a cause in which we believe. For that reason, we cherish working with individual clients celebrating personal and family milestones as well as with corporations and organizations that are marking accomplishments, from team victories to funds raised to achievements made for the greater good.
WE MAKE SENSE
Engaging the world through an analytical lens, we are driven to solve problems and to tackle complex challenges. We have a remarkable ability to take in vast amounts of data and to observe the circumstances surrounding situations. We sort through it all to create both order and beauty.
WE FIND A BETTER WAY
We persistently seek better ways to do everything. We can’t stop ourselves. We ask ourselves the following questions, constantly: What if we look at this from another perspective? What if we try taking a different approach? What is the best way to accomplish the goal at hand? We contribute to our clients by finding better processes and systems; and because we take pride in striving for the ideal, we operate under the motto “often pleased, never satisfied.”
